Hi. I’m so glad you stopped by!
Healing is not linear; healing takes time, patience, and sometimes it takes someone to walk through it with us. I would love the opportunity to walk through the healing process with you. As a trauma informed provider, I specialize in working with caregivers of adults and children; individuals with chronic, terminal, and comorbid diseases; and healthcare professionals experiencing secondary trauma and grief.
I received my Bachelor’s in psychology and Masters in Social Work from Troy University (Go Trojans!). I have been blessed to spend the last 10 years working as a medical social worker in the acute care hospital setting. As a medical social worker, I have the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan as they navigate their medical care, helping to empower and advocate for them. As a social worker, I stand beside the patient and their family to ensure they are heard, seen, and cared for, as I would want anyone in my family cared for.
Utilizing therapeutic techniques in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, crisis intervention, and medical family therapy, my goal is to develop individualized goals and plans with my clients to ensure they have the tools and resources to move through the healing process.
